Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing fashion retail team. This role will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions while also overseeing key HR and payroll responsibilities.


Experience with Xero Accounting Software is highly preferred. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable handling both financial and people-related administrative matters in a fast-paced retail environment.


Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance

  • Manage full sets of accounts including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.


  • Prepare monthly financial and management reports, including Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.


  • Track and reconcile daily sales data from retail POS systems and e-commerce platforms.


  • Handle supplier invoicing, payments, and liaise with local and overseas vendors.


  • Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and stock movements.


  • Support stock counts and ensure accurate inventory accounting.


  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as GST reporting and assist with annual audit processes.


  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.


  • Maintain proper documentation and financial records for audit and compliance.


  • Use Xero to maintain up-to-date financial records and generate reports.


  • Coordinate with store managers, warehouse, and operations team for timely financial submissions.



HR & Payroll Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll, including CPF contributions and statutory deductions.


  • Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.


  • Handle leave management and attendance tracking.


  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.


  • Ensure compliance with Singapore MOM regulations and employment laws.


  • Support work pass applications, renewals, and related documentation (if applicable).


  • Prepare IR8A and annual tax filings for employees.


  • Liaise with external payroll vendors or consultants where required.


  • Support basic HR administrative matters and employee queries.



Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource, or related field.


  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail, fashion, or inventory-based businesses.


  • Experience handling both accounting and payroll functions.


  • Proficient in Xero Accounting Software.


  • Strong knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, GST, CPF, and MOM compliance.


  • Good understanding of employment practices and HR administration.


  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.


  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.


  • Strong communication skills to work across departments and retail outlets.
