Description
The Accounts Executive will handle full sets of accounts and day-to-day finance operations for an F&B business operating multiple retail outlets and an online e-commerce platform in Singapore. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, GST compliance, outlet and online sales reconciliation, inventory accounting, and statutory submissions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL)
Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and payments
Prepare monthly closing, trial balance, and schedules
Ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards (SFRS)
2. Retail Outlet Accounting (3 Outlets)
Reconcile daily POS sales& delivery platforms (e.g. GrabFood, Foodpanda, Deliveroo – if applicable)
Track outlet-wise revenue, costs, and profitability
Monitor cash handling and investigate variances
Coordinate with outlet managers on sales and expense submissions
3. E-commerce Accounting
Reconcile online sales from company website
Track payment gateway settlements, platform commissions, refunds, and chargebacks
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
Maintain vendor and creditor reconciliations
Track receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
Prepare payment runs and bank transfers
5. Inventory & Cost Control (F&B)
Maintain inventory records for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
Support monthly stock takes and variance analysis
6. Taxation & Statutory Compliance (Singapore)
Prepare and file GST returns with IRAS
Ensure accurate GST treatment for dine-in, takeaway, and online sales
Handle CPF contributions and employee-related statutory matters
Assist with corporate income tax (ECI / Form C/C-S) preparation
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries
7. Payroll & Expense Management
Support payroll processing and salary payments
Verify staff claims, outlet expenses, and petty cash
Track employee advances and reimbursements
8. Reporting & MIS
Prepare monthly management reports (P&L, cash flow, outlet-wise analysis)
Assist in budgeting and forecasting
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to management
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
LCCI / ACCA (part-qualified) / equivalent is an advantage
Experience
2–5 years of accounting experience
Prior experience in F&B, retail, or e-commerce preferred
Experience handling GST and multi-outlet operations is a strong advantage
Technical Skills
Proficient in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, ABSS, or similar)
Experience with POS systems and payment gateway reconciliation
Strong knowledge of GST and IRAS compliance
Good Excel / Google Sheets skills
