The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.
About the Team:
Service by Shopee (SBS) is Shopee Singapore's first-party retail business, responsible for growing and curating a competitive product assortment that gives buyers access to the widest range of products at the best prices. We work closely with suppliers and brand partners to bring high-quality listings onto the platform.
We're a driven, close-knit team that moves fast and thinks commercially. Whether it's identifying the next opportunity, building a new category from the ground up, or deepening partnerships with key suppliers, everyone on the team plays a meaningful role in strengthening Shopee's position as Southeast Asia's leading e-commerce platform.
Job Description:
- Identify white-space categories or brands not currently on platform
- Build pipeline of prospective suppliers and conduct business development pitches
- Evaluate assortment and negotiate with suppliers for better commercial terms
- Manage onboarding - including legal documentation, account setup, and SKU listing creations
- Work with team managers to define, implement and execute growth strategy
Requirements:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's in Business or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Organised and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through
- Comfortable with outreach and engaging with external parties
- Full-time for 3 to 6 months (preferred), open to part-time
