AEM Technical Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AEM Technical Lead to drive digital transformation initiatives using Adobe Experience Manager and related Adobe technologies.

This role will lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade AEM solutions across web and digital platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth in Adobe products with architectural
thinking, stakeholder engagement skills, and hands-on Java development expertise.

You will play a key role in modernizing applications, enabling cloud deployment, and delivering scalable digital experience platforms for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Delivery

• Lead and mentor a team of AEM developers and technical specialists


• Drive end-to-end delivery of AEM-based digital solutions from architecture to deployment


• Work closely with UX/UI, business analysts, project managers, and infrastructure teams


• Ensure timely delivery aligned to scope, quality, and performance expectations


• Provide architectural direction for digital transformation initiatives

AEM Architecture & Development

• Design and implement scalable AEM solutions supporting multi-channel digital experiences


• Develop and customize AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations


• Provide hands-on development using Sling, OSGi, JCR, and related frameworks


• Optimize AEM performance including caching, content delivery, and server-side rendering


• Support Adobe upgrades, migration activities, and cloud modernization initiatives


• Architect Java-based backend services and RESTful APIs integrated with AEM

Integration & Platform Engineering

• Integrate AEM with enterprise systems such as CRM, e-commerce, analytics, and third-party APIs


• Implement personalization, targeting, and content lifecycle workflows


• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation


• Ensure secure, scalable, and high-availability architecture in cloud environments

Governance, Security & Best Practices

• Establish and enforce development standards and best practices


• Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment processes


• Implement secure coding practices and access controls


• Stay updated on new Adobe features and evolving industry trends

Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions


• Provide technical advisory on platform capabilities, tools selection, and solution design


• Conduct solution reviews and quality assurance assessments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline


• Minimum 5 years of hands-on AEM development experience


• At least 2 years in a senior or lead technical capacity


• Strong expertise in AEM architecture, components, templates, workflows, and DAM


• Solid experience with Sling, OSGi, JCR, Apache Felix


• Experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento) is advantageous


• Knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud tools such as Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target


• Proficiency in Java, Spring, and REST API development


• Strong frontend knowledge including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue


• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Adobe Cloud


• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines


• Strong understanding of performance tuning, caching strategies, and security best practices
