Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Brand Manager to join a leading global FMCG organisation on a 6 months contract, supporting the growth and development of the brand portfolio across the APAC region
What you'll do:
As an Assistant Brand Manager for the APAC region, you will immerse yourself in a variety of engaging tasks designed to strengthen brand presence and drive commercial success
- Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all regional assets by ensuring alignment with global positioning and visual identity guidelines.
- Collaborate with local Brand Teams to analyse business performance metrics such as sell-in, sell-out, market share, distribution, and advertising spend return on investment, translating these insights into actionable regional plans.
- Contribute to the development of regional brand strategies by preparing comprehensive data analyses and presentations that support strategic decision-making processes.
- Take ownership of the monthly KPI dashboards by consolidating both internal and external market data sources (including Nielsen/IRI) and highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions from local teams.
- Prepare detailed SKU-level analyses covering volume, value, margin, and velocity to support range optimisation decisions across multiple markets.
- Support portfolio improvement proposals by quantifying expected impacts by brand, SKU, or market through regular reviews of internal and external data sets.
- Assist in supporting new product development roadmaps by consolidating market data, sizing opportunities, and developing volume/value scenarios in partnership with local Brand Teams.
- Track new product development performance against agreed KPIs such as distribution, trial rates, repeat purchases, and incremental sales; lead recommendations for optimisation plans with local teams.
- Support the creation of regional omni-channel campaigns-including digital initiatives and point-of-sale materials-by coordinating with agencies, tracking budgets, planning roll-outs, managing asset updates and approvals.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional internal teams (Sales, Trade Marketing, Category & Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain) as well as external agencies to ensure timely project delivery while meeting deadlines.
What you bring:
To excel as an Assistant Brand Manager within this dynamic environment, you will bring proven expertise from previous roles within FMCG brand or category management-ideally spanning several years.

- A sound understanding of basic profit-and-loss drivers coupled with commercial acumen is important for supporting financial tracking activities.
- Experience in brand management fundamentals-including portfolio development and range optimisation-is highly desirable.
