To support Asst Lead of Digital Platform Engagement, on strategic growth of Mediacorp's YouTube channels, by leveraging data-driven insights, platform expertise and audience strategy. The role drives digital audience expansion, maximise content performant and ensuring YouTube serves as a key pillar within the broader digital and content ecosystem.
Scope of the role
The role oversees the growth and performance of Mediacorp's YouTube channels. Responsible for optimising channel performance, content operations & workflow management, driving audience engagement and performance analysis & reporting, while ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop content releasing strategy that aligns with YouTube channel objectives. Content calendar planning and identify content opportunities, shaping the content mix (shorts, long-form, livestreams).
Optimize content discoverability through SEO, titles, thumbnails, metadata, playlists etc.
Oversees end-to-end channel performance, leveraging analytics to monitor key metrics such as video views, engagement, watch time, retention, CTR, subscriber growth.
Monitor and conduct platform, competitors and content performance analysis, translating data into actionable insights and delivering data-driven recommendations to continuously optimise algorithm performance and expand audience reach.
Work closely with producers, editors, marketing and commercial teams to ensure alignment between content, branding and monetisation objectives.
Safeguards compliance with platform policies, manages copyright, content ID matters, and stay ahead of industry trends and YouTube platform developments to maintain competitive advantage.
Foundational Competencies
Understanding of what drives digital content on social media and how it should be presented.
Broad knowledge of digital content and social media trends
Able to work on projects independently and collaboratively
Qualifications
Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in any discipline
Minimal 2 years of working experience in digital content planning and best practices of social media platforms
Experience in short and long form digital content development / management is a plus
Good verbal communication skills
Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Strong multitasking abilities
