Purpose of Job

The Assistant Manager, Global Digital Marketing supports the Director, Global Digital Marketing in the execution, management and optimisation of global and regional paid media and performance marketing initiatives for Millennium Hotels and Resorts.

The role is responsible for managing digital campaigns across assigned markets and channels, working closely with internal stakeholders and external media agencies to drive brand awareness, qualified traffic, direct bookings, Brand.com revenue and marketing efficiency.

The Assistant Manager will also manage campaign performance reporting, assigned digital marketing budgets, agency coordination and monthly property performance reviews for the assigned region, ensuring that performance insights, recommendations and agreed actions are clearly communicated and followed through.


Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing & Campaign Management

  • Plan, coordinate and manage assigned global and regional paid media and performance marketing campaigns from briefing and implementation through to optimisation and post-campaign review.

  • Manage campaigns across relevant paid digital channels, including paid search, paid social, display/programmatic, Google Hotel Ads and metasearch.

  • Support the Director in implementing the Group's global digital marketing and performance marketing strategy across assigned markets.

  • Work closely with appointed media agencies on media planning, audience targeting, remarketing, campaign implementation and ongoing optimisation.

  • Monitor campaign performance against agreed KPIs, including reach, impressions, traffic, bookings, revenue, ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, cost of sale and other relevant performance metrics.

  • Analyse campaign performance and recommend optimisations to improve media efficiency, direct bookings and commercial returns.

  • Ensure campaigns are delivered according to agreed timelines, budgets, media plans and business objectives.

  • Coordinate campaign requirements and deliverables across relevant markets and stakeholders.


Performance Reporting & Analytics

  • Manage monthly and post-campaign performance reporting for assigned global and regional digital marketing activities.

  • Analyse performance across markets, audiences, campaigns and channels to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.

  • Translate campaign data into clear commercial insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Monitor the contribution of digital marketing activities towards Brand.com traffic, direct bookings, revenue and marketing efficiency.

  • Monitor relevant performance metrics including ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, cost of sale, bookings and revenue.

  • Review agency and vendor reports and challenge performance findings and recommendations where necessary.

  • Track performance across markets and channels and recommend budget reallocations where opportunities for improved returns are identified.

  • Support the Director in preparing management reporting, performance reviews and recommendations.


Property Performance Reviews

  • Conduct and facilitate monthly property performance calls for the Assistant Manager's assigned region, together with the appointed digital marketing vendor.

  • Coordinate monthly calls with the respective property teams, comprising the General Manager, and Marketing team.

  • Review monthly property performance reports with the vendor ahead of each call to identify key performance results, concerns, opportunities and strategic recommendations.

  • Ensure the vendor presents relevant campaign performance, insights and recommendations during each property call.

  • Facilitate discussions between the vendor and property teams and provide Global Digital Marketing guidance and support where required.

  • Ensure agreed actions and next steps arising from the monthly calls are clearly documented and followed up.

  • Identify and escalate material performance concerns, recurring issues or opportunities to the Director, Global Digital Marketing.

  • Maintain oversight of property campaign performance while recognising that property-specific campaigns are owned and managed by the respective property teams.


Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Global and Regional stakeholders to understand business and commercial priorities.

  • Support the Director in implementing digital marketing plans aligned with wider Marketing, Branding, Loyalty, Revenue and Commercial objectives.

  • Coordinate global and regional campaign requirements across relevant internal teams.

  • Provide digital marketing guidance and recommendations based on campaign and market performance.

  • Facilitate regular global and regional performance discussions with relevant stakeholders and appointed agencies.

  • Maintain strong working relationships across markets and functions to ensure digital marketing initiatives support wider commercial objectives.

Digital Campaign Content

  • Coordinate content and creative requirements for global and regional digital marketing campaigns.

  • Manage updates to relevant global and promotional pages in support of campaigns and offers.

  • Ensure campaign content is accurate, current, on-brand and aligned with established brand and visual standards.

  • Work closely with relevant teams to ensure consistency of campaign messaging and creative across paid digital channels.

  • Support the development and adaptation of digital creative assets according to channel, audience and market requirements.

  • Ensure promotional content and offers are accurately represented throughout the campaign period.

Agency & Vendor Management

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with appointed media agencies and digital marketing vendors for assigned markets.

  • Review media plans, channel strategies, audience strategies, campaign performance reports and optimisation recommendations.

  • Ensure agencies and vendors deliver campaigns and agreed scopes of work accurately and within required timelines.

  • Monitor agency performance against agreed KPIs, deliverables and service expectations.

  • Challenge agency recommendations where appropriate and ensure recommendations are supported by data and commercial rationale.

  • Follow up on campaign performance issues and ensure corrective actions and optimisations are implemented promptly.

  • Escalate significant agency performance or delivery issues to the Director where required.

  • Support the Director in regular agency performance reviews and KPI governance.

Budget Management

  • Manage and track digital marketing budgets for assigned global and regional campaigns.

  • Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and maintain accurate budget reporting.

  • Monitor media spend and recommend budget reallocations based on campaign performance, commercial returns and business priorities.

  • Support the Director in annual digital marketing budget planning and forecasting.

  • Monitor campaign pacing to ensure media budgets are appropriately utilised within the agreed campaign periods.

  • Manage the department's monthly invoicing process and coordinate with Finance, Procurement, agencies and vendors where required.

  • Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for campaign expenditure and invoices.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, Communications, eCommerce or a related discipline.

  • Approximately 3–5 years of relevant digital marketing experience, preferably within hospitality, travel, eCommerce or another consumer-facing industry.

  • Good working knowledge of paid search, paid social, display/programmatic, Google Hotel Ads and metasearch.

  • Experience managing paid digital campaigns and working with external media agencies or vendors.

  • Good understanding of both upper-funnel and performance marketing, and the role different channels play across the customer journey.

  • Strong understanding of digital performance metrics including reach, impressions, CTR, CPC, CPA, conversion rate, cost of sale, bookings, revenue and ROAS.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret campaign performance and translate data into actionable recommendations.

  • Experience managing and tracking digital marketing budgets.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior hotel and regional stakeholders.

  • Good project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, markets and priorities concurrently.

  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Comfortable working across different markets, cultures and time zones.

  • Proactive, commercially minded and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global team.
