Automation Tester

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Automation Tester who can lead QA initiatives while actively performing manual and automation testing. The role requires strong Selenium automation, API testing expertise, and experience implementing structured QA processes, preferably within Retail/eCommerce environments. The candidate will ensure product quality through effective test planning, execution, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases based on business and technical requirements.

• Perform both manual and automated testing to ensure comprehensive coverage.

• Develop and maintain Selenium automation scripts and execute API testing.

• Validate end-to-end workflows across frontend, backend, and third-party integrations.

• Lead QA processes, standards, and best practices to improve quality and efficiency.

• Manage defect lifecycle, conduct triage sessions, and coordinate status meetings.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and support teams to resolve issues.

• Support integration, system, regression testing, and UAT activities.

• Provide testing leadership, guidance, and mentorship as needed.

Technical Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing.

• Strong experience with Selenium automation frameworks.

• Experience in API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, or similar).

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and defect management.

• Experience in Retail/eCommerce/Online Store environments preferred.

• Ability to perform end-to-end validation across multiple systems and vendors.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
