About the Team:

The mission of the Marketplace Intelligence & Data team is to build sustainable and efficient data and intelligent products to drive Shopee’s business growth. The team’s responsibilities include:

• E-commerce data warehouse development


• Merchant and operations data product development


• End-to-end traffic data system


• Product-related algorithms (product listing, control, information optimization, SPU library and price comparison business)


• Marketing algorithms (merchant recruitment, product selection, recommendation algorithms)


• Review algorithms and user profiling


• Core AI capabilities (machine translation, speech algorithms, image algorithms, real-person authentication, etc.)

Job Description:

• Participate in the development and optimization of Shopee’s large-scale e-commerce user profiling system


• Develop and optimize data systems for business scenarios involving hundreds of billions of data records


• Design and develop core high-concurrency systems in the e-commerce chain

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related field


• Proficient in at least one of Java or Golang, with solid programming skills and good coding practices


• Familiar with common software engineering practices, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms


• Familiar with the principles and usage of HBase, ClickHouse, Kafka, Redis, with expertise in one or more preferred


• Knowledge of Linux systems, networking, distributed architecture, caching, and message queues


• Strong sense of responsibility and proactiveness, good communication skills, and team spirit


• Ability to work in English to a certain extent
