Description
We are seeking a strategic, commercially minded Brand Manager to act as brand custodian for the brands in our portfolio - owning brand positioning, merchandising direction, and marketing execution across digital platforms and physical retail environments.
You will translate corporate and category strategy into brand plans that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention, while working cross-functionally with marketing, retail operations, e-commerce, and creative teams to bring the brand to life at every customer touchpoint.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Strategy & Positioning:
Brand Ownership: Act as brand custodian, defining and safeguarding brand positioning, identity, and guidelines across all channels and touchpoints.
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement annual brand calendars, marketing campaigns, and go-to-market strategies aligned to category and corporate objectives.
Market & Consumer Insight: Track market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to identify whitespace and inform brand and product decisions.
2. Retail & Merchandising Execution
Merchandising Strategy: Responsible for assortment planning, sell-through analysis, and in-store presentation standards that reflect brand positioning.
Retail Calendar Management: Plan brand activity around key retail moments (seasonal launches, promotions, festive periods) to maximize commercial impact.
Channel Consistency: Ensure consistent brand execution across brick-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, and marketplace channels.
3. Performance & Data Analytics
KPI Monitoring: Track campaign performance, sell-through rates, marketing ROI, and brand health metrics, reporting regularly to leadership.
Budget Management: Manage and optimise marketing and brand budgets, ensuring spend is allocated to the highest-return initiatives.
Continuous Optimization: Use performance data to refine strategy, reallocate spend, and improve future campaign effectiveness.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 4 years of brand management experience in the retail industry
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related discipline.
Commercially astute and analytically minded, with strong business acumen.
Data-driven decision-making, with comfort interpreting sales, campaign, and consumer analytics.
Strong understanding of the retail calendar, merchandising principles, and sell-through/inventory metrics.
Strong project management, budgeting, and vendor/agency management skills.
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed corporate environment.
Results-driven, proactive, and comfortable operating with a high degree of ownership.
Strong communicator, able to influence stakeholders across functions and seniority levels
