The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.
Job Description:
- Strategic Acquisition: Identify and secure high-value brand partners (Retail, Hospitals, Real Estate, Universities) to integrate into the SPX commercial ecosystem.
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Lead the expansion of the Buyer Self-Collect (BSC) network across Thailand, managing the project lifecycle from initial pitch to nationwide rollout.
- Commercial Excellence: Conduct deep-dive cost analyses and strategic planning to ensure partnerships are either cost-saving or profit-generating for the SPX network.
- Financial Planning: Manage project budgets, forecast expansion costs, and maintain strict cost-control measures to ensure sustainable growth.
- Product & UX Optimization: Collaborate with internal teams to refine BSC features, improving the user experience and driving higher adoption rates.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the "glue" between Operations, Commercial, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring competitor moves and industry trends to identify the "next big thing" in logistics partnerships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a highly analytical role (logistics, E-commerce, or tech-platform experience is a major plus).
- You are comfortable with project management, strategic planning, and data analysis. You thrive when given full ownership.
- Proven experience in cost analysis, budget management, or financial modeling. You understand how operational decisions impact the P&L.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking, with the skills to evaluate project performance and optimize for efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external relationship management.
- You are proactive and detail-oriented, capable of navigating complex cross-functional landscapes to get things done.
- Advanced skills in Excel for data/cost analysis and PowerPoint for executive-level pitching (SQL is a major plus).
