Summary:
The Business Development Manager for South East Asia will play a pivotal role working with our Head of Business Development in driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships and expanding our market presence within the consumer electronics sector.
This position requires a dynamic individual who can identify new business opportunities, build strong relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic project objectives. The successful candidate will help to achieve significant milestones in our overall business strategy, tracking towards success in a competitive landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in South East Asia to drive revenue growth.
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for expansion.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align strategies and advise how to enhance offerings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential customers and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable business deals.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the company and its services.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
- 5+ years in consumer electronics or a closely related sector across Asia
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- An established network of distributors with real reach across SEA markets
- Commercial muscle — you've closed deals, managed P&Ls, and hit targets
- Multi-channel experience - distributors, traditional retail and e-commerce
- Fluent English and ideally proficiency in one or more: Mandarin, Thai, Bahasa, or Filipino
- The drive to travel, build relationships face-to-face, and operate with autonomy
