Business Manager (E-commerce)
Baozun Asia
Description
Position Overview
Baozun Asia is looking for a Business Manager to run our clients' e-commerce businesses end to end, across agency and distribution models. You will own the P&L, trade terms, manage inventory health; oversee marketplace (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Zalora) and brand.com operations; and lead a small regional team. You will be the client's senior day-to-day counterpart and decide how the team spends its time to hit target and margin.
In this role, you will
Business and P&L
Own the P&L (GMV, gross margin, contribution and OP%) against the annual operating plan; lead monthly target and OP% reviews.
Manage pricing, promotional investment, platform fees and fulfilment costs to protect margin.
Trade terms, buying and inventory
Own demand forecasting and purchase planning around launches and seasonal peaks
Negotiate trade terms with principals to manage inventory health and working capital: weeks of cover, sell-through and ageing stock, with clearance plans before stock goes aged.
Channel oversight
Oversee marketplace and brand.com operations, guiding the team on listings, pricing, campaigns, mega-sales, CRM and traffic.
Review traffic, conversion, AOV and campaign ROI, set the actions that follow, and manage senior platform relationships.
Client and team leadership
Act as the client's senior day-to-day counterpart; lead weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews.
Lead a small cross-border team based across the region and set its daily, weekly and monthly operating rhythm.
Work with Baozun's creative, performance marketing, warehouse and customer service teams to deliver on plan.
Your impact
Profitable accounts that hit GMV, margin and OP% targets.
Trade terms and inventory decisions that protect margin and working capital.
Channel performance and market share that grow year on year.
Client relationships strong enough to expand Baozun's scope.
Essential skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
8–10 years of commercial experience in e-commerce, distribution, retail buying or trading, including at least 3 years with direct P&L responsibility.
Hands-on inventory management: forecasting, open-to-buy, PO management and aged-stock clearance.
Working knowledge of marketplace and brand.com businesses: campaigns, pricing and platform economics.
Experience leading a small team, including team members based in other markets.
Strong financial and data skills (P&L, working capital, Excel, ERP / BI tools) and confident presenting to senior stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior stakeholders.
