Job Summary
The Business Partner in an IT Software Business plays a strategic role in driving business growth, building client relationships, and aligning technology solutions with market needs. This role bridges technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure software products and services deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Contribute to product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Understand client business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, proposals, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
3. Financial & Performance Management
- Monitor revenue targets, profit margins, and KPIs.
- Prepare business forecasts and performance reports.
- Oversee budgeting and cost optimization initiatives.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between sales, product development, marketing, and support
teams. - Work closely with software engineers and project managers to ensure timely
delivery. - Align product roadmap with market demands and customer feedback.
5. Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify operational and financial risks.
- Ensure compliance with legal, data protection, and IT governance standards.
- Manage vendor and partner agreements.
6. Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor business development and account management teams.
- Foster a performance-driven and collaborative culture.
- Support recruitment and training initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT/software business development or partnership management.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Proven track record in revenue growth and client acquisition.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Financial acumen and analytical skills.
