Job title


- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) — Jewellery Company (Singapore)


Reports to


- Board of Directors / Owners


Role summary


- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the jewellery company to grow revenue, protect brand reputation, ensure operational excellence, and deliver long‑term shareholder value in Singapore and target markets.


Key responsibilities


- Strategy & vision: define and communicate long‑term strategy, market positioning and growth plans (retail, wholesale, e‑commerce, private clients, export).


- Leadership & culture: build and lead senior management team; set performance expectations, develop talent and foster a customer‑centric, ethical culture.


- Financial stewardship: set financial targets, oversee budgeting, P&L, cash flow, capital allocation and cost discipline; work with CFO on financial reporting and risk management.


- Business development & sales: drive sales strategy, partnerships, wholesale relationships, B2B channels and expansion into new markets or product categories.


- Brand & product direction: oversee product strategy, design direction, quality standards, sourcing, pricing and certification/ethical sourcing policies.


- Operations & supply chain: ensure efficient supply chain, manufacturing/atelier operations, inventory management, quality control and vendor relationships.


- Customer experience & retail operations: set standards for retail, VIP services, after‑sales, CRM and digital commerce; oversee store network and operational KPIs.


- Compliance & governance: ensure regulatory compliance (Singapore & export markets), corporate governance, licensing, customs, trade, AML/KYC where applicable.


- Risk & security: maintain loss‑prevention, insurance, crisis management and contingency planning for high‑value goods.


- Stakeholder management: report to board, engage investors/owners, lead investor relations, and represent company to media, industry bodies and key clients.


- Innovation & digital: champion digital transformation (e‑commerce, CRM, data analytics, omnichannel) and new business models.


- M&A & partnerships: evaluate and execute strategic investments, joint ventures, acquisitions or divestments.


Required qualifications & experience


- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Marketing or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.


- Experience: 10+ years senior leadership experience with proven P&L accountability; experience in luxury retail, jewellery, watches, luxury goods or high‑value retail strongly preferred. Track record in multi‑channel retail and international markets advantageous.


- Industry knowledge: deep understanding of gemstones, precious metals, manufacturing/sourcing, certifications and retail operations is highly valuable.

Compensation (typical guidance, Singapore)


- Total package varies by company size and performance: SGD 300,000–1,200,000+ annually (base salary plus performance bonus, equity/stock options, benefits, and allowances) — luxury/established groups at higher end.


Board & performance metrics


- Accountable for revenue growth, margin improvement, same‑store sales, digital growth, inventory turns, customer lifetime value, NPS, compliance and return on invested capital.
