The Role: Channel Marketing Intern
Mission (About the Role)
Responsible for developing, managing, executing channel marketing strategies and operation to drive sales growth thru channel ecosystem and performance management/monitoring.
This position offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and make a significant impact on our channel GTM. By contributing to Schneider Electric's commitment to excellence, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience that will benefit your professional development.
What will you do?
1. Channel Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Plan and execute marketing programs to drive demand.
- Align initiatives with business goals: reducing channel inventory, increasing recurring revenue partners, and promoting APC by Schneider Electric solutions, focusing on strategic themes such as AI, Edge computing, Energy efficiency, and Sustainability.
2. Offer Marketing & Product Launches
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new product introductions, including messaging, promotions, and launch toolkits.
- Drive campaigns around bundles, limited time offers, rebates, and value-added services to support both channel and online sales.
- Working closely with Product BD / LOB to track competitor offerings and market trends to adjust positioning and maintain competitive edge.
3. eCommerce Sales Planning & Optimization
- Lead planning for online sales across digital marketplaces (e.g. SE eStores, Shopee, Lazada, and distributor eStores).
- Manage product visibility, digital merchandising, and paid advertising to increase traffic and conversions.
- Work with DAM on distribution partners to monitor online stock levels, fulfillment, and order tracking.
- Report on key metrics like sell-through, conversion rates, and campaign ROI.
4. Event Planning & Execution
- Plan, organize, and execute partner events, product launches, roadshows, webinars, and training workshops.
- Manage end-to-end event logistics: venue coordination, invitation management, content planning, speaker sourcing, and post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate with sales to ensure event objectives align with pipeline building and partner engagement goals.
- Leverage events for lead generation, training, and branding opportunities.
5. Partner Enablement & Engagement
- Develop and distribute marketing toolkits: product brochures, banners, social media content, email templates, and campaign materials.
- Support partners onboarding with training webinars, workshops, and e-learning content.
- Drive engagement through partner newsletters, social channels, and partner portals.
- Collect feedback to improve future programs and content relevance.
6. Demand Generation & MDF Management
- Design and execute co-branded campaigns with partners using Marketing Development Funds (MDF).
- Track MDF usage and ensure ROI through detailed reporting on campaign performance.
- Coordinate email, digital, and content marketing campaigns targeted at specific partner tiers or solution focus areas.
7. Digital Marketing & Analytics
- Run digital campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook, email automation) to support both channel and eCommerce goals.
- Analyze performance across platforms—traffic, leads, conversions, and revenue impact.
- Generate insights and dashboards to support continuous improvement and stakeholder reporting.
8. Market Intelligence & Competitive Benchmarking
- Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and gaps.
- Benchmark against competing channel programs and eCommerce strategies.
- Share insights with internal stakeholders to influence pricing, product, and sales strategies.
9. Learning & Development (Internship Focus)
- Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborating with sales, marketing, and external partners to ensure smooth communication and alignment on goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Improving communication skills while negotiating with external partners and coordinating with internal teams.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Learning to thrive in a fast-paced environment and developing action plans to address unexpected channel challenges.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business with specialization in Marketing or related, Communications or similar will set you up for success, providing a solid foundation in marketing knowledge and critical thinking skills.
