Department Manager (Merchandising / Fashion and Beauty)

Responsibilities:

• Develop merchandising and sales strategies to achieve departmental targets.
• Manage buying budgets, product mix, stock levels, and overall profitability.
• Align online and in‑store merchandising to strengthen business performance.
• Analyze trends and consumer demand; recommend new products and suppliers.
• Oversee sourcing, procurement, and overseas buying trips.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide decisions.
• Negotiate with vendors and plan key vendor programs.
• Lead departmental renovation planning and execution.
• Manage daily operations, sales planning, and operating expenses.
• Lead and motivate staff to meet sales and inventory goals.
• Review sales, profit, and stock reports; manage departmental budgets.
• Plan and execute advertising, promotions, and digital merchandising initiatives.
• Manage manpower planning and approve staff rosters.
• Conduct training, performance appraisals, and staff development.
• Ensure high customer service standards and resolve feedback.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, including WSH.
• Protect confidential company and client information.

Requirements:

• Diploma qualification or above.
• Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in merchandising or retail operations.
• Strong merchandising and analytical skills.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
