Role Summary
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Driver Operations Manager to oversee the growth, engagement, and operational performance of our driver network. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a sustainable driver supply, maintaining strong relationships with the driver community, and driving operational improvements to enhance service quality across the platform.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support driver onboarding, engagement, and performance management while implementing processes and initiatives that improve operational efficiency and driver experience. The ideal candidate is both hands-on in operations and comfortable leading initiatives that strengthen the driver ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
Driver Operations & Supply Management
- Ensure a healthy and sustainable driver supply by maintaining a strong pipeline of driver leads and overseeing the driver onboarding process.
- Monitor driver activity and engagement levels, and implement initiatives to improve driver retention and platform participation.
Driver Community Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the driver community to foster engagement and trust.
- Actively manage driver communications, gather feedback, and work with internal teams to address operational challenges faced by drivers.
- Support the development of incentive programs and engagement initiatives to improve driver satisfaction and service quality.
Driver Engagement & Offline Presence Oversight
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight for the Offline Presence function, through the Assistant Manager who manages the team’s day-to-day operations.
- Guide the team in executing driver engagement initiatives that support Lalamove’s mission of “Painting the Roads Orange”, including vehicle sticker adoption across the driver network.
- Oversee the planning and effectiveness of offline driver outreach initiatives to strengthen driver engagement and brand visibility.
- Ensure operational processes related to sticker inventory management, installation activities, and driver engagement programs are well managed by the team.
- Monitor team performance, KPIs, and operational outcomes, and provide direction to the Assistant Manager to continuously improve operational efficiency and impact.
- Support the Assistant Manager in identifying process improvements and operational enhancements for the offline presence and driver benefits programs.
Operational Standards & Process Improvement
- Develop, implement, and maintain driver operations SOPs and policies to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
- Identify operational issues and process gaps, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure operational practices align with company standards and support the scalability of the platform.
Performance Monitoring & Execution
- Track key operational and service quality metrics related to driver performance and platform activity.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Work with the team to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead and manage operational projects and initiatives aimed at improving driver supply, operational efficiency, and service quality.
- Work closely with the Global Driver Operations team to support the implementation of regional or global initiatives, ensuring alignment with company standards and best practices.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Product, Finance, and Customer Support) to ensure smooth execution of operational initiatives.
- Develop project timelines, track progress, and ensure initiatives are delivered on schedule.
- Monitor project outcomes and identify opportunities to further optimize processes and improve the driver experience on the platform.

What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree with more than 6 years of operational or leadership experience, preferably in logistics, marketplace platforms, or e-commerce environments.
- Experience working in a fast-paced or start-up environment is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Basic understanding of mobile and web-based platforms.
- Energetic, proactive, and results-oriented with strong business acumen.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
