ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a commercially driven Head of Ecommerce to own and grow ValueMax's online business end-to-end. This is a senior role with full P&L responsibility — you will set the strategy, manage performance, and lead execution across our digital channels. You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure our ecommerce presence reflects the trust and credibility ValueMax has built over more than three decades.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

P&L & Business Performance

•    Own the full ecommerce P&L — including revenue, gross margin, cost of acquisition, and operating expenses

•    Track and report on key metrics including GMV (Gross Merchandise Value), AOV (Average Order Value), conversion rates, and customer lifetime value

•    Identify underperforming categories or channels and implement corrective strategies promptly

•    Prepare regular performance reports and business reviews for senior leadership


Strategy & Growth

•    Develop and execute a multi-year ecommerce growth strategy aligned with ValueMax's overall business objectives

•    Identify and develop new revenue streams — including online auctions, pre-owned luxury resale, B2B channels, and value-added digital services

•    Monitor competitor platforms and trends in the secondhand goods, gold, and luxury resale space

•    Evaluate and expand presence across relevant marketplaces (Carousell, Shopee, Lazada, and others)


Digital Marketing

•    Plan and manage full-funnel digital marketing — SEO, SEM, paid social, email marketing, and influencer partnerships

•    Drive traffic and improve conversion rates across all online platforms

•    Lead campaigns around key retail periods: 9.9, 11.11, Chinese New Year, Great Singapore Sale, and others

•    Ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints, reflecting ValueMax's premium and trustworthy positioning


Operations & Fulfilment

•    Work with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment, returns handling, and customer experience

•    Coordinate with in-store teams to maintain accurate, real-time inventory alignment between online and offline channels

•    Implement and optimise ecommerce technology, tools, and platforms to support scaling


Team & Stakeholder Management

•    Build and lead a high-performing ecommerce team, including digital marketing, content, and operations functions

•    Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT, Retail, and Compliance teams

•    Manage agency and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective delivery and quality output


REQUIREMENTS

Experience

•    Minimum 7 years of ecommerce experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

•    Proven track record of growing an ecommerce business in a measurable way (GMV, revenue, or profitability)

•    Hands-on experience managing marketplace platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, or Carousell Pro

•    Experience in luxury goods, jewellery, financial services, or high-value secondhand goods is a strong advantage
