Job Responsibilities
General Ledger & Financial Maintenance
· Transaction Management: Accurately record all daily financial transactions in QuickBooks, including sales, expenses, and ledger entries.
· Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts to ensure data integrity and accuracy
Tax Compliance
· Tax Compliance: Assist in the timely preparation and accurate filing of tax returns.
Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR)
· Invoicing & Payments: Process incoming invoices, manage accounts payable, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
· Collections: Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely customer payments.
· Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor payment inquiries and assist customers with billing resolution.
Reporting & Analysis
· Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements via QuickBooks to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
· Data Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency, providing actionable recommendations to management.
Budgeting
· Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the Head of Finance to manage departmental budgets and assist in forecasting financial trends and variances.
Inventory Management
· Stock Monitoring: Monitor and reconcile inventory levels within QuickBooks.
· Auditing: Assist in conducting periodic physical inventory audits to ensure system accuracy.
Other Ad-hoc Duties
· Monthly Inter-company reconciliation in between parent company and all subsidiaries.
· Assist Manager and other team members of the department as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and Additional Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
· Proficient in using QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Experience
· Minimum 2-3 years of experience in accounting and finance role (experience in e-commerce/fashion/apparel are preferable
