Job Title: Operations Executive (Outbound, Assembly):
Grocery Logistics of Singapore Pte Ltd (GLS) is a key logistics service provider to NTUC FairPrice’s
brick and mortar as well as e-commerce business units. GLS is currently expanding into other business
segments, hence looking for self-starter individuals to join our Business Development Division.
Job Overview
To organize and operate the section so as to achieve higher productivity.
To efficiently plan and organize the daily work activities in his section.
To effectively lead and control the section at optimum productivity level.
To train and supervise the subordinates to manage the section efficiently and effectively.
Submit all relevant documents to the manager on time.
Control overtime incur & reduce damage stock to achieve high productivity.
To ensure picking and stacking contractors provide sufficient trucks to achieve a 99.7% KPI benchmark.
Introduce improvement measures to achieve better picking accuracy.
Able to stand in as duty manager in the department when the manager is away.
Handle GLS hotline enquiries.
Responsibilities
Daily Picking Progress: Monitor daily picking progress closely to ensure all picking activities are completed as planned.
Manpower Planning: Plan and dynamically allocate manpower to support daily picking activities and consistently meet changing operational requirements.
Contractor Liaison: Liaise proactively with picking contractors for additional manpower planning, particularly during critical festive peak periods like the Chinese New Year (CNY) peak.
Performance Reviews: Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with the picking contractor to evaluate recent picking performance and align on concrete improvement plans.
KPI Monitoring: Monitor and analyze critical warehouse KPIs including picking accuracy, delivery on-time, and workplace safety to ensure high performance is consistently achieved.
Systems Coordination: Raise system-related issues with the WMS (Warehouse Management System) vendor or internal IT department promptly to minimize operational downtime.
Inter-departmental Liaison: Coordinate closely with the Inbound department to address and resolve any order fulfillment issues.
Financial Accruals: Prepare and close monthly accruals accurately within the required timeline.
Inventory Management: Manage stationery and office supply ordering to maintain adequate inventory levels.
Staff Discipline: Monitor staff discipline, daily attendance, and overall ground performance.
Requirements
Minimum diploma in logistics/supply chain, engineering, or a business-related field, but a degree is preferred.
Proven experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Experience in a supervisory role or hands-on warehouse operations.
Experience handling WMS software and contractor management is a plus.
Excellent documentation, planning, and organizational skills.
