The Inventory Executive is responsible for leading inventory control and receiving operations within an e-commerce grocery fulfillment center. This role manages a team of ~40 staff, ensures high in-stock availability, maintains inventory accuracy, and works closely with business and FSQ stakeholders to deliver service excellence, food safety, and compliance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Inventory Executive is responsible for leading inventory control and receiving operations within an e-commerce grocery fulfillment center. This role manages a team of -40 staff, ensures high in-stock availability, maintains inventory accuracy, and works closely with business and FSQ stakeholders to deliver service excellence, food safety, and compliance. Team Leadership & Operations Lead, supervise and manage a team of approximately 40 inventory and receiving associates Plan manpower deployment across receiving, putaway and inventory control activities Drive productivity, discipline and adherence to operational SOPs Coach team leads and ensure smooth shift handovers Inventory Management & Control Ensure high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits and reconciliation Manage inbound receiving, putaway and stock movements within WMS Monitor inventory aging, damages, shrinkage and expiry management ( FIFO/FEFO ) Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions Maintain optimal stock levels to support order fulfillment Stakeholder Management & Service Metrics Work closely with Business teams to manage in-stock availability and replenishment priorities Collaborate with Planning, Operations and Fulfillment teams on service level performance Engage external stakeholders such as vendors and suppliers on receiving and inventory matters Track and improve key service metrics ( stock accuracy, inbound SLA ) Provide inventory insights and reporting to stakeholders Food Safety & Quality Compliance ( FSQ ) Partner with FSQ team to ensure compliance with food safety standards Ensure proper handling of temperature-controlled and perishable inventory Enforce hygiene, storage conditions and product segregation requirements Support audits and implement corrective/preventive actions Process Improvement Identify gaps in receiving and inventory processes and drive improvements Implement best practices for grocery fulfillment operations Support automation and system enhancements where applicable Standardize SOPs and ensure compliance across shifts Key Success Metrics Inventory Accuracy % In-Stock Availability Inbound end to end compliance Shrinkage/Damage rate Cycle count compliance Manhours Productivity
