Freelance eCommerce Packer

We are seeking an E-commerce packer who will be responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring items are correct, securely packaged, and accurately labeled for timely delivery. This role operates within a warehouse environment and involves physical activity. 

Job Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment: Accurately select items from warehouse inventory based on order forms, packing slips, or electronic scanners.

• Packaging: Pack products securely in appropriate containers (e.g., boxes, poly mailers) to prevent damage during transit. This may involve using cushioning materials and following specific packaging guidelines.

• Labeling and Shipping: Print and apply shipping labels, weigh packages, and prepare parcels for courier pickup. Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely dispatch.

• Quality Control: Inspect products for quality or discrepancies before packaging and report any damaged items or inventory errors to a supervisor.

• Inventory Management Support: Assist with general inventory tasks such as receiving stock, sorting, shelving, counting stock (stocktaking), and updating inventory records in a warehouse management system (WMS).

• Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working area and follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures.

• Additional Duties: Perform other general warehouse duties or ad-hoc tasks as assigned by a team leader or manager. 

Job Skills and Qualifications

• Attention to Detail: Essential for ensuring order accuracy and preventing customer complaints.

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, move, bend, and lift or carry packages for extended periods.

• Time Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity goals and shipping deadlines.

• Teamwork: E-commerce packers often work as part of a team, requiring good collaboration and communication skills.

• Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with order tracking systems, barcode scanners, or inventory management software is a plus (training is provided).

• No Experience Needed: We offer on-the-job training for candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. 

Location : Warehouse

Basic Salary : $12 per hour

Working Hours: Ad-hoc basis during busy days
