The Head of Content is responsible for leading the overall content strategy across all digital platforms to support business growth, audience engagement, and organic search performance. This role oversees editorial planning, content production, distribution, and SEO strategy while ensuring brand consistency and quality standards. In addition, this position will be leading the content team, manages cross-functional collaboration and drives data-driven optimiztion.

The Talent

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 8-12 years of experience in content strategy, digital marketing, or editorial leadership, preferably from a digital marketing, advertising, or integrated marketing agency environment.
  • Proven experience leading and managing content teams, with the ability to set strategic direction, develop roadmaps, and drive execution across multiple channels.
  • Strong expertise in content strategy, SEO-driven content development, editorial planning, and multi-channel content distribution across website, social media, and digital platforms.
  • Experience working with clients in regulated or knowledge-driven industries such as healthcare/medical, pharmaceutical, or professional services will be highly advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), content analytics, performance tracking, and data-driven content optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional collaboration with marketing, design, development, and commercial teams to deliver integrated digital campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives, manage budgets, and work with external agencies or vendors.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic discussions.
  • Experience in regional or multi-market content strategies and familiarity with emerging content technologies, including AI-assisted tools, will be an advantage.

The Job

  • Develop and drive the overall content strategy across digital platforms, including website, blog, social media, and video, to support business objectives.
  • Establish clear editorial standards covering brand voice, style guidelines, accuracy, accessibility, and responsible use of AI tools in content creation.
  • Identify priority content themes and structure information in a way that enhances discoverability for both audiences and search engines.
  • Manage the end-to-end editorial calendar and ensure content plans align with audience insights, search intent, and different stages of the customer journey.
  • Oversee the development, optimization, and publication of content across formats, ensuring best practices in SEO, metadata, and readability are applied.
  • Maximize content impact by repurposing assets, implementing scalable content frameworks, and coordinating distribution across relevant channels.
  • Lead and mentor the content team, setting clear objectives, performance metrics, and development plans to ensure high-quality output.
  • Implement efficient workflows, quality control processes, and collaboration frameworks to support consistent and timely content delivery.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, development, and sales to ensure alignment on campaigns and business priorities.
  • Guide SEO strategy and information architecture to strengthen organic visibility and improve overall website experience.
  • Monitor content performance using analytics and dashboards, translating insights into actionable improvements and future content initiatives.
  • Drive continuous experimentation and optimization across content formats, publishing cadence, and digital channels to improve engagement and results.
