· To lead and drive the procurement function in the organization.
· To establish and develop the procurement framework and drive compliance among the users.
· To develop and enhance the supplier management network, strengthen and enhance the tendering process to ensure integrity and transparency.
· To work closely with the stakeholders to align requirements and increase user satisfaction in procured services and products.
· To enhance the processes and automate functions through digitalization, leveraging on E-commerce platforms and other technological tools.
· To drive sayings and manage procurement spend for critical spares and consumables.
· To build and develop capabilities for the procurement team.
Job requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in one of the following disciplines:
· Procurement / Supply Chain Management
· Electrical Engineering
· Mechanical Engineering
2. Minimum 5–10 years of experience in sourcing and procurement of key materials and services within manufacturing or equipment supply industries (preferably in steel or heavy industries). At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial capacity is required.
3. Strong communication skills with the ability to understand business requirements, align them with supplier capabilities, and conduct negotiations with sound analytical and commercial judgment.
4. Proficiency in using data analytics tools and software to support decision-making processes.
5. Solid knowledge of contract management and a strong understanding of procurement best practices.
6. Fluent in both English and Chinese, with strong business-level proficiency in Chinese.
7. Proven experience working with Chinese suppliers, with extensive knowledge of supplier networks and business practices across China and East Asia.
8. Demonstrated leadership ability in managing procurement teams and driving successful negotiations.
