Description
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic customer relationships to achieve business growth and long-term partnership objectives. This role focuses on key client acquisition, relationship management, early project engagement, and contract execution, ensuring customer satisfaction and business profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
An experienced sales professional who is proactive, analytical, and results-oriented — capable of understanding complex customer needs, translating them into actionable sales strategies, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions. He / she must demonstrate commercial acumen, professionalism, and resilience in handling high-value clients and long sales cycles.
1. Key Account Development:
Identify, acquire, and manage key accounts to expand business opportunities and strengthen market presence.
Develop customized sales strategies and account plans tailored to major clients.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through continuous engagement and trust-building.
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.
3. Early Project Involvement (UI Influence):
Engage with customers early in the product or project development phase to influence design, specifications, and decision-making.
Coordinate with internal technical and product teams to align solutions with customer needs.
4. Business Negotiation and Quotation Management:
Lead commercial discussions, negotiate pricing, and ensure competitive yet profitable quotations.
Collaborate with internal teams to prepare proposals, costings, and sales documentation.
5. Contract Management:
Oversee the preparation, review, and execution of sales contracts in compliance with company policies.
Monitor contract performance and ensure fulfilment of obligations.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Technical teams to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
Provide feedback and market insights to support product strategy and business planning.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, or related field.
· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in key account management or B2B sales, preferably with exposure to large or strategic clients within the Data Centre or related technology industries.
· Proven track record in client acquisition, contract negotiation, and long-term relationship management.
· Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Fluent in English and Chinese preferred.
· Willing to travel as required.
