Manager/Senior Manager Procurement (West)

Essential Responsibilities:-

·       To lead and drive the procurement function in the organization.

·       To establish and develop the procurement framework and drive compliance among the users

·       To develop and enhance the supplier management network, strengthen and enhance the tendering process to ensure integrity and transparency.

·       To work closely with the stakeholders to align requirements and increase user satisfaction in procured services and products.

·       To enhance the processes and automate functions through digitalization, leveraging on E-commerce platforms and other technological tools

·       To drive sayings and manage procurement spend for critical spares and consumables

·       To build and develop capabilities for the procurement team

Requirement

·       Diploma or Degree in Engineering field (Preferred Electrical or Mechanical)

·       Have at least 5 - 10 years experience in sourcing of key materials/services procurement in manufacturing/equipment supply business.

·       At least 3 to 5 years in management role.

·       Effective communication skills to find out business user requirements and match it to suppliers offerings, negotiate with good analysis and commercial acumen

·       Ability to use software in data analysis for decision making.

·       Strong knowledge in contracting and good understanding of procurement best practices

·       Experienced in dealing with Chinese suppliers and wide exposure to the supplier network and practices in China and East Asia

·       Management skills in leading procurement teams and negotiation

·       Ability to work independently and patience with users to get their business requirements and get the right suppliers to supply.

·       To use software to analyse spend and costs to achieve savings to reduce costs; find ways to improve value in sourcing.
