Description
Our client is a growing multi-site retail and hospitality business with operations spanning retail stores, restaurants, warehouses, offices and digital platforms. They are looking for an experienced Manager, Technology to lead IT operations and drive technology initiatives that support business growth and digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Leadership
Develop and implement the organisation’s IT roadmap in alignment with business goals and operational needs.
Identify opportunities for technology innovation and digital transformation across retail, F&B, logistics and corporate functions.
Lead, mentor and develop the IT team, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented culture.
IT Infrastructure & Operations
Oversee day-to-day IT operations and service delivery across multiple locations.
Ensure the reliability, performance and availability of networks, servers, cloud services, databases and business-critical applications.
Manage Microsoft environments, endpoint devices, wireless networks, VPN, firewalls and other IT infrastructure.
Business Systems & Digital Platforms
Manage key business applications including Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, POS, inventory and warehouse systems, e-commerce platforms and HR/payroll systems.
Oversee system upgrades, integrations, testing, implementation and ongoing support.
Ensure technology systems effectively support business processes and operational requirements.
Cybersecurity & IT Governance
Establish and maintain IT policies, security standards and governance practices.
Oversee cybersecurity, data protection, risk assessments and vulnerability management.
Manage backup, disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimise operational disruptions.
Projects, Vendors & Budget
Lead IT projects covering system implementation, migration, infrastructure upgrades and process improvements.
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources and stakeholder expectations.
Manage IT vendors and technology partners, including contract negotiations and service-level agreements.
Monitor IT expenditure and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
Business Partnership
Work closely with Retail, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR and Marketing teams to understand business requirements.
Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve efficiency, user experience and business performance.
Act as a trusted technology partner to stakeholders and provide guidance on emerging technologies and best practices.
What We're Looking For
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including leadership or management experience.
Experience supporting multi-site retail, F&B, hospitality or consumer-facing businesses is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, POS, CRM, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, SQL, networking and cybersecurity.
Experience in IT project management, system implementation, vendor management and budgeting.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving and communication skills.
Knowledge of IT governance, risk management and business continuity planning.
