Marketing Executive (Freight Forwarding)

🎓 Fresh graduates encouraged to apply — no prior freight forwarding experience required

 ⚠️ This is a phone- and client-facing role — not a social media / content role. If your background is purely in social media management, content creation, or graphic design, this role will not be a fit. We're looking for strong communicators who are comfortable talking to people and negotiating outcomes, not managing online content.

## What You'll Do

- Make outbound calls to prospective and existing clients daily — this is a phone-first role

- Build rapport quickly with strangers over the phone and in person

- Negotiate pricing, terms, and service expectations directly with clients and vendors

- Prepare quotations and proposals, and follow up consistently to turn conversations into confirmed business

- Handle objections and pushback professionally — not every call goes smoothly, and we need someone who doesn't give up after one "no"

- Work closely with our operations and pricing teams to ensure smooth shipment execution

- Learn the fundamentals of freight forwarding — Incoterms, air/sea rate structures, customs documentation — through structured on-the-job training

- Maintain accurate client and pipeline records in our CRM and quoting system 

## What We're Looking For

Must-have:

- Strong verbal communication skills — confident, clear, and persuasive on the phone and in person

- Some experience with telemarketing, cold calling, customer service calls, or any role involving direct phone/in-person conversations with strangers (sales, appointment setting, surveys, debt collection, etc.)

- Comfortable negotiating — able to hold a position, read the other side, and work toward an agreement

- Resilience — able to handle rejection and keep going without losing motivation

Nice-to-have:

- Diploma/Degree in any field

- Fluent in English; Mandarin and/or Malay a strong advantage for our regional client base

- Genuine curiosity about how global trade and logistics work

Not what we're looking for: if your relevant experience is primarily social media content creation, digital ad management, SEO, or graphic design with no direct phone/client-facing communication experience, please note this role is unlikely to be a fit — we'd rather be upfront about this than waste your time.
