Key Responsibilities
Conduct garment design research to identify trends, fabrics, colors, and styles aligned with buyer and market demands
Develop and oversee the design and product development process, from concept to final presentation
Review, evaluate, and refine garment designs to ensure quality, fit, cost efficiency, and production feasibility
Coordinate with sampling, merchandising, and production teams to ensure designs are accurately executed
Prepare and organize professional design presentations for buyers
Present collections and design concepts to international buyers, including those from the US
Incorporate buyer feedback into design revisions and future collections
Ensure all designs comply with buyer specifications, quality standards, and timelines
Stay updated on global fashion trends and competitor activity
Pre-requisites
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in the garment or apparel industry, preferably in a managerial or senior design role
Strong expertise and hands-on experience in garment design and development
Proven ability in design research, product development, and presentation
Excellent understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction, and costing
Experience presenting to international buyers is highly preferred
Strong communication and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously
Proficiency in design and presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint)
Willing to travel overseas for work
