Operations Executive (Strategic Communications)
Jamiyah Singapore
Description
About the role
To take day-to-day operational ownership of content on the Jamiyah SuperApp. Tasks include planning, publishing, checking and keeping it current so that the platform is live, accurate, on-brand and useful to members, volunteers, donors and beneficiaries every day. The role is the point where content from across Jamiyah's departments, from JamiyahTV and from the News Desk is turned into a coherent daily experience in the app.
Key responsibilities
Plan, schedule and publish daily content across all SuperApp modules: Jamiyah News & Activities, Education Programmes, Volunteer Opportunities, the Digital Donation Centre, Digital Publications (Voice of Islam, Jamiyah Bulletin, Impact Reports), JamiyahTV and the Jamiyah News Desk.
Maintain a rolling content calendar aligned to both Jamiyah's programme calendar and the Islamic calendar, with advance planning for Ramadan, the two Eids, Awal Muharram, Maulidur Rasul and major community events.
Write, edit and proofread in-app copy: headlines, standfirsts, event listings, push notifications, in-app banners and campaign messages.
Brief and quality-check graphics, thumbnails, key art and promotional assets with the Art/Graphics Unit of Jamiyah Studio Dept; ensure correct use of the Jamiyah and JamiyahTV brand identities.
Apply the editorial principles set out in the JamiyahTV master plan to publish accurate, respectful, family-friendly, educational, inclusive, professionally produced, and aligned with Jamiyah's mission and values.
Maintain metadata, tagging, categorisation and archiving so that content remains searchable and reusable.
Act as the single point of contact for content submissions from MarComm, Fundraising, Outreach, CODD, FoodBank, Education and the Homes.
Serve as day-to-day operational contact with OTG Lab Pte Ltd, the appointed technology partner: log defects, track fixes, and carry out user acceptance testing before each release.
Track engagement metrics: reach, active users, session depth, watch time on embedded JamiyahTV content, including in-app conversions involving donations, volunteer sign-ups, programme registrations and subscription take-up.
Produce a monthly performance report for the unit head, with observations and recommended changes to content mix, timing and promotion.
