About Boughtnex
Boughtnex Group is a Singapore-based e-commerce holding company operating across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. We manage 20,000+ SKUs across Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and Shopify, with a portfolio of brands including PowerPets, VitaminBar, and Mello.
We are looking for a Pricing Analyst who can help protect our margins, catch pricing errors before they become costly, and identify opportunities to improve profitability. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid spreadsheet skills, marketplace knowledge, and the ability to spot problems before anyone else does.
The Role
As our Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing pricing, monitoring margins, analyzing competitor movements, and ensuring that campaign and flash deal prices remain profitable.
You will own four core functions:
1. Negative Margin Alerts & Root Cause Analysis
When an order loses money, your job is to identify why it happened and recommend the correct fix.
Responsibilities:
Monitor daily order reports for negative-margin transactions across all platforms and countries
Investigate each case and identify the root cause, such as:
Wrong COGS or costing error
Incorrect selling price
MOQ issue or buying too few units
Shipping method or courier issue
Platform fee, voucher, or subsidy impact
Categorize every negative-margin order by root cause
Report weekly trends and recurring issues
Escalate margin leaks to the operations team with clear and specific recommendations
Track whether fixes were implemented and verify if the issue was resolved
2. Competitor Pricing Analysis
You will monitor competitor pricing and help the company decide when to adjust, hold, or improve pricing.
Responsibilities:
Monitor competitor prices for key SKUs across Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand
Track pricing changes for the top 100 SKUs at least weekly
Flag opportunities when competitors raise prices, so we can improve margin without losing sales
Flag threats when competitors drop prices and recommend whether to match, hold, or differentiate
Maintain a competitor pricing tracker in Google Sheets
Analyze pricing patterns before, during, and after major sales events such as 6.6, 7.7, 9.9, 11.11, and 12.12
3. Campaign Price Review
Before campaign prices are submitted to Shopee, Lazada, or TikTok Shop, you will review whether the pricing still makes financial sense.
Responsibilities:
Review campaign prices for mega sales, thematic campaigns, and brand campaigns before submission
Check whether campaign prices still meet the minimum acceptable margin after:
Platform fees
Commission
Vouchers
Shipping subsidies
Discounts
Flag any campaign price that may result in a loss or margin below the required threshold
Provide a clear go/no-go recommendation for every campaign price submission
Build and maintain a campaign pricing checklist for the team to use before every submission
4. Flash Deal Price Review
You will apply the same level of pricing control to flash deals and limited-time promotions.
Responsibilities:
Review all flash deal nominations before submission, including price, quantity, and timing
Calculate the effective margin after flash deal discounts, platform commission, and stacked vouchers
Flag any deal where the discount makes the unit economics negative
Recommend the lowest profitable price for each flash deal
Track flash deal performance and assess whether the sales volume justified the margin reduction
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in e-commerce, pricing, marketplace operations, or data analysis
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, formulas, and conditional formatting
Experience with Southeast Asian marketplaces such as Shopee, Lazada, or TikTok Shop
Understanding of platform fees, commission structures, campaign mechanics, vouchers, and discounts
Comfortable working with large datasets such as order reports, SKU-level data, pricing databases, and margin reports
Highly detail-oriented and systematic — able to catch one wrong number in a 10,000-row spreadsheet
Strong written English for clear reports, summaries, and escalations
Self-motivated and proactive — you do not wait for someone to tell you there is a problem
Reliable internet connection
Available to work 48 hours per week, flexible within 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM SGT, Monday to Saturday
Comfortable working with Telegram, Google Drive, and Google Sheets
Nice to Have
Experience with BigQuery, SQL, or any data querying tool
Background in finance, accounting, commercial analysis, or business analytics
Experience working with multi-country e-commerce operations
Familiarity with Shopee Seller Centre, Lazada Seller Center, and TikTok Shop Seller Center
Experience using repricing tools or competitor monitoring software
Understanding of shipping cost structures and courier pricing across Southeast Asia
Compensation & Benefits
Fixed monthly salary of ₱30,000 – ₱40,000
48 hours per week, flexible schedule
30-day trial period
Performance bonuses tied to margin improvement targets
Long-term role with growth potential into commercial and pricing strategy
