The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with a well-established retail and distribution business, and we are seeking a Product Lead (Merchandising) for the business! This is a key leadership role that requires a strong balance of commercial acumen, analytical capabilities, and product sensibility. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full product lifecycle, from global sourcing and supplier management to product positioning, assortment planning, and overall catalog performance. Working closely with senior management and the sales teams, you will play a critical role in shaping the product offering, ensuring merchandise remains commercially competitive, trend-relevant, and aligned with market demand.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing trend-driven product assortments with high SKU turnover, supported by global sourcing and fast product refresh cycles.

The Job:
- Lead and develop the product team, driving high performance and operational excellence.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle including sourcing, assortment planning, and inventory coordination.
- Lead product assortment strategy by identifying new trends while managing the phase-out of slow-moving or discontinued items to optimize inventory turnover.
- Monitor margins, landed costs, and SKU performance to optimize profitability and product turnover.
- Partner with the sales team to recommend suitable product solutions and cost-effective alternatives for key opportunities.
- Build and manage supplier relationships across China and ASEAN, including sourcing, negotiations, and pricing strategy.
- Oversee product selection and visual presentation to ensure strong commercial and market appeal.
- Identify product trends and opportunities to strengthen the product offering and maintain market competitiveness.
The Talent:
- Strong experience in product sourcing, merchandising, or procurement.
- Proven skills in managing international suppliers and sourcing operations, particularly in Asia.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze margins, costing, and product performance.
- Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage a product portfolio effectively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regional environment and travelling to sourcing markets when required.
