Regional Logistics Operations Specialist (Japanese Speaking)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end-to-end import/export and cross-border shipments of pre-owned luxury goods.
• Arrange shipments for items sold through global online auctions on a weekly basis.
• Liaise with logistics partners, couriers, customs brokers, and regional teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Track shipments, resolve delays, and troubleshoot logistics issues with internal teams and customers.
• Manage product returns and ensure proper handling processes.
• Review and streamline logistics workflows across Singapore, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
• Analyze customs duties and trade flows to support operational visibility.
• Standardize shipping procedures to enhance consistency and efficiency.
• Establish quality and security standards for packaging, storage, and transportation.
• Identify and onboard logistics providers with expertise in pre-owned goods.
• Analyze shipping costs and support negotiations to improve cost efficiency.
• Implement country-specific risk management processes.
• Collaborate with headquarters and regional branches on auction preparation and shipment planning.
• Support new or expanding branches by sharing best practices and training on logistics processes.
• Maintain accurate shipping and customer information across systems.
• Support system consolidation and workflow improvements in collaboration with IT teams or vendors.
• Update and maintain logistics documentation and system usage guidelines.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination, preferably with cross-border exposure.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs processes, and international shipping documentation.
• Proficiency in Japanese language for liaising with Japanese speaking clients and stakeholders.
• Experience using logistics systems or order management tools.
• Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience handling high-value or luxury products is an added advantage.
• Exposure to system migration, data consolidation, or workflow standardization is an added advantage.
• Background in e-commerce, retail logistics, or auction operations is an added advantage.
