Position Summary
This role will create Southeast Asia & Oceania region’s online business strategy both Samsung.com and other online platforms including Pureplayers to maximize the business performance. This role will also lead the various projects that are created by local / regional/ global stakeholders to develop / improve our internal processes that will ultimately lead to maximized satisfaction of our consumers.Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
Provide strategic and operational support to senior management and online business leaders to drive sustainable sales growth and deliver an elevated customer experience across the Samsung Online Store and key regional e-commerce platforms. Contribute to establishing Samsung as a leading online brand in Southeast Asia.
Engage directly with Korean-speaking leadership teams; therefore, advanced proficiency in Korean (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
Analyze and interpret (English - Korean) current Southeast Asian online and offline market trends, in alignment with global developments, to inform short‑, mid‑, and long‑term business strategies and forecasting.
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to support the continued expansion of the direct‑to‑consumer e-commerce business, with a core focus on enhancing the end-to-end user experience.
Lead cross-functional and cross-market projects—including global and local task force initiatives—aimed at improving customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Prepare comprehensive business reports and executive-level presentations (English - Korean) for senior management and online leadership. Provide structured analysis of historical and current performance, articulate strategic recommendations, and collaborate with business units and support functions to facilitate timely and informed decision-making.
Maintain and govern historical business data repositories to enable accurate tracking, analytics, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Leverage multi-source data and analytical frameworks to provide proactive insights to management and cross-functional teams. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive data-informed decision-making.
Build and sustain strong partnerships across business units, ensuring alignment with Corporate Marketing on centralized e-commerce strategy and platform governance. Support the development of regional roadmaps designed to enhance market performance and achieve defined business objectives.
Collaborate closely with subsidiaries, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective information flow and alignment. Communicate strategic priorities clearly and influence key stakeholders, including subsidiary leadership teams.
Partner with key cross-functional teams to incorporate organizational priorities, interdependencies, and broader business considerations into e-commerce projects. Promote cross-product integration and cross-selling opportunities to optimize commercial outcomes.
Lead initiatives related to process standardization and the adoption of digital tools to enhance sales productivity, strengthen operational efficiencies, and support broader transformation efforts in alignment with Samsung’s strategic direction.
Oversee the execution of online business operational processes to ensure compliance with management directives, corporate guidelines, and global timelines.
Conduct ad-hoc database queries and maintain analytical tools and databases that support business operations and reporting requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
- 8 - 10 years of experience managing high-performance B2C e-commerce platform(s) and demonstrated experience in managing and growing online conversions, revenue and leads
- Solid understanding of the metrics that drive value in an e-Commerce business, including traffic metrics, inventory turns, etc.
- Proven success in developing comprehensive business plans that are integrated across multiple consumer touch points, including at point-of-purchase.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills with ability to synthesize data to drive strategic decision making
- Strong decision-making skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall Company and category strategies
- Interpersonal savvy: an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels throughout the organization across various functions and geographies
- Fluency in Korean language and experience in collaborating with Korean stakeholders
- Results-oriented, having held leadership roles and built and developed high performing teams
- Experience working on cross functional teams to drive internal process and strategy improvement
- Proven ability to collaborate and manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines required
- Technical creative, methodical, and passionate about UX and using data to orchestrate e-commerce growth
- Strong data visualization skills and ability to effectively communicate performance and business impact to the broader business
- Inventive problem solver, highly collaborative, and have a high level of accountability
- A deep attention to detail and dedication to accuracy and precision with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar) and familiarity with common CRM technologies, Extensive knowledge in e-Commerce Platforms
