About the Role

Sinowisdom is launching a new Chinese dining concept, Zhiwei Jian – Salt Merchant House, located at 22 Amoy Street. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Opening Project Manager to take full responsibility for the restaurant’s pre-opening preparation.

You will oversee renovation progress, coordinate inspections and regulatory approvals, and ensure all licenses are obtained in time for launch. Upon successful opening, the candidate may transition into the Restaurant Manager position, depending on interest and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant pre-opening project timeline and deliverables.

• Coordinate renovation contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of the three-storey property.

• Handle government inspections and approvals, including SCDF, NEA, SFA, URA, and other relevant agencies.

• Apply for and secure all required business, hygiene, gas, and operational licenses.

• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, designers, and government departments to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Assist with pre-opening preparations including equipment purchasing, staff recruitment, and training.

• Develop and execute a detailed opening schedule to ensure on-time readiness.

• (Optional) Transition to Restaurant Manager role after opening to oversee daily operations and team management.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant opening, project management, or F&B operations.

• Solid understanding of Singapore’s licensing and compliance processes for F&B establishments.

• Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) – required, as communication with contractors and suppliers will often be in Chinese.

• Able to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines.

• Prior experience in launching or managing high-end or multi-outlet restaurants will be a strong advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary of SGD 7,000 – 10,000, depending on experience.

• Performance-based annual bonus.

• Opportunity for promotion to Restaurant Manager or Operations Director after successful opening.
