Description

As a Retail Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional client experience and representing our brand with elegance and professionalism. You will lead by example, inspiring your team to provide outstanding service, achieve sales targets, and uphold the highest operational and visual merchandising standards. This role requires a deep passion for fine jewellery, people, and retail excellence.

 

Key responsibilities:

Customer Experience & Sales

  • Act as a brand ambassador, embodying the company’s core values and refined image.

  • Ensure the highest level of personalised customer service, creating memorable experiences that reflect our brand’s luxury positioning.

  • Drive sales performance through effective client engagement, product knowledge, and relationship building.

  • Offer personal styling and jewellery consultation services to clients, ensuring a tailored experience.

  • Lead and motivate the team to meet and exceed monthly and seasonal sales targets.

  • Build and maintain a client database including VIP and repeat customers; demonstrate strong clienteling and follow-up skills.

  • Oversee after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.

  • Perform daily retail tasks including sales reporting, stock handling, and administrative duties.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate retail staff to deliver a consistent luxury experience and achieve team goals.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, maturity, and integrity in all interactions.

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture that is both professional and enjoyable.

  • Conduct regular team briefings and training to enhance product knowledge, selling techniques, and service excellence.

  • Manage conflict effectively, supporting a respectful and solution-oriented work environment.

  • Share weekly sales reports and insights with management and the team to drive performance.

Retail Operations

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth execution of sales, stock control, and visual presentation.

  • Work closely with the Operations team to maintain optimal stock levels and product rotation.

  • Ensure stock rooms are organised and replenishment is done promptly and accurately.

  • Conduct regular stocktakes and discrepancy investigations in accordance with company procedures.

  • Uphold visual merchandising standards that reflect brand aesthetics and seasonal directives.

  • Ensure compliance with all company SOPs, security, and safety guidelines.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of retail experience in the luxury sector, specifically jewellery, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build trust with clients and colleagues.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Google Suite is an advantage.

  • Familiarity with POS and CRM systems for client management and reporting.

  • Gemmological certification or strong product knowledge in gemstones and jewellery design will be an advantage.
