About the role

Brand: BYD Commercial Vehicles

1. Role Summary

As a Sales Consultant for BYD Commercial Vehicles, you will be responsible for driving the sales of BYD’s electric light-duty trucks (including the BYD T35) and vans to businesses across Singapore. You will serve as the key point of contact for fleet owners, logistics companies, trade contractors, and corporate clients, helping them transition to sustainable, cost-effective electric mobility solutions.

This role requires a consultative sales approach—understanding customer operations, articulating the total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits, and guiding clients through the vehicle selection, financing, and charging infrastructure journey.


2. Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with potential B2B clients, including logistics operators, e-commerce fulfillment companies, trade contractors, and corporate fleets.

• Conduct needs analysis to understand customer operational requirements, driving patterns, payload needs, and sustainability goals.

• Present and demonstrate the BYD T35 and other commercial EV models, highlighting product features, performance, and financial advantages.

• Prepare and deliver tailored quotations, including financing/leasing options and government incentive applications (e.g., HVZES, EEAI, CVES).

• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing and vehicle handover.

Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts to encourage repeat business and referrals.

• Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional responses.

• Collaborate with after-sales and service teams to ensure seamless post-delivery support.

Market & Product Expertise

• Stay updated on BYD product developments, competitor offerings, and industry trends in Singapore’s commercial EV landscape.

• Maintain a deep understanding of government policies, incentive schemes, and charging infrastructure developments to advise customers accurately.

• Provide feedback to management on market needs, customer preferences, and competitive activity.

Administrative & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts in the CRM system.

• Prepare and submit sales reports, market feedback, and activity updates as required.

• Ensure all sales documentation (contracts, financing applications, incentive forms) is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

3. Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• ITE  or Diploma or  in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 2–3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in automotive, commercial vehicles, fleet management, or heavy equipment industries. Zero sales experience is encouraged to apply too

• Experience in electric vehicle sales, logistics, or fleet management is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

Consultative Selling: Ability to understand customer operations and present value-driven solutions.

Financial Acumen: Comfortable explaining total cost of ownership (TCO), financing options, and government incentive calculations.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;

Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with business owners and fleet managers.

Self-Starter: Motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.

Other Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license (Class 3A acceptable).

• Willingness to travel within Singapore for client meetings, test drives, and site visits.


4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Monthly and quarterly sales targets (units sold and revenue)

• Lead conversion rate (test drive to sale)

• Customer satisfaction and retention

• Accuracy and timeliness of sales documentation

• Quality of pipeline and CRM data
