Position: Sales Executive (Merchant Acquisition)

Location: Singapore


Experience: This is a Junior/Entry role


The Role:

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new merchant partners across various industries, including restaurants, retail stores, and other service-based businesses. You will play a key role in expanding our merchant network by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals.


Key Responsibilities:

·      Identify and prospect potential merchants through field visits, cold calling, networking, and online research

·      Actively approach and pitch to businesses such as restaurants, retail shops, beauty and wellness outlets, and other local merchants

·      Present company products/services effectively and tailor solutions to meet merchant needs

·      Negotiate terms and close partnership agreements with new merchants

·      Maintain a strong pipeline of leads and consistently achieve sales targets

·      Build and maintain long-term relationships with merchants to ensure satisfaction and retention

·      Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, customer support) to ensure smooth onboarding of new merchants

·      Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities

·      Provide regular sales reports and updates to management


Educational & Experience Requirements:

·      Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)

·      Proven experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition (F&B, retail, or services industry is a plus but not mandatory)

·      Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

·      Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently

·      Comfortable with fieldwork and meeting clients face-to-face

·      Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude

·      Basic proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office


Preferred Skills:

·      Experience working with SMEs or local businesses (preferably but not mandatory)

·      Knowledge of the local merchant landscape

·      Ability to speak multiple languages/dialects to engage diverse merchants

·      Willingness to learn and to absorb trainings given

·      A hunter’s mentality
