Description
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Manager to lead and grow our business in Singapore. In this role, you will drive both sales performance and brand visibility, develop new customers and strengthen relationships with existing accounts. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to achieve ambitious growth objectives.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with extensive experience in commercial distribution, a strong record in key account management, and a genuine passion for building and promoting brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Account Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute plans to drive sales growth with key customers, including but not limited to retail chains, industrial users, workshops, hardware wholesalers, and e-commerce partners.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
- Expand business opportunities by onboarding new accounts and distribution channels, enhancing geographic expansion and product distribution.
Sales & Distribution
- Manage and optimize distribution channels to maximize market coverage and product availability.
- Present and secure buy-in from customers for marketing initiatives, new product launches, and promotional campaigns. Identify opportunities for new product placements and expanded distribution within existing accounts.
- Prepare and execute sales agreements, trade terms, and promotional plans to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Maintain and apply comprehensive knowledge of products, their applications, and competitor offerings to drive effective sales and account management.
Market Analysis & Planning
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
- Actively gather and evaluate customer feedback to inform strategies and implement improvements.
- Use insights to inform account strategies, sales forecasts, and distribution planning.
- Track and analyze KPIs to evaluate account and channel performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
Sales Planning & Forecasting
- Develop accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales forecasts and monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate in-store promotions, merchandising initiatives, and other sales-driving activities.
- Design and execute effective promotional campaigns, pricing strategies and trade marketing initiatives in accordance with yearly rebate and incentive programs.
Marketing Plans, Brand Building, E-commerce
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive yearly marketing plans from planning to execution to grow both social media and offline retail presence. This includes sales analysis & projection, brand activation plan, omnichannel plan, budget planning and ROI analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop compelling marketing collateral, point-of-sale materials, and digital assets. Ensure effective execution of marketing activities and digital campaigns.
- Manage content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across relevant social media.
- Develop and execute e-commerce strategy and drive sales growth through effective online product listing optimization, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns on online marketplaces.
- Champion initiatives that improve brand visibility, loyalty, and customer engagement across all channels.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare and submit monthly sales & digital reports.
- Prepare reports on key account performance, distribution metrics, new business growth, e-commerce performance, and sales forecasts for management review.
- Set sales targets, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions when objectives are not met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development, preferably with exposure to channel distribution.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce, distribution channels, retail operations, and trade marketing.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Familiarity with SAP Business One.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Valid driver's license to travel across Singapore to meet customers.
