About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Support / Inside Sales Executive to drive new business acquisition for our freight forwarding and logistics services. The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, qualifying leads, generating sales opportunities, and supporting the sales team in acquiring new customers. This role is ideal for individuals who are proactive, resilient, and passionate about sales and customer engagement within the logistics industry.
Key responsibilities
Conduct daily outbound cold calls to prospective customers across various industries including manufacturing, trading, e-commerce, retail, electronics, automotive, healthcare, and FMCG.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities for Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Cross-Border Transportation, Warehousing, Customs Brokerage, and Supply Chain Solutions.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through research, networking, referrals, and lead-generation activities.
Schedule appointments and sales meetings for Business Development Managers and Sales Representatives.
Generate new customer accounts and secure opportunities for quotation submissions.
Follow up consistently with prospects to convert inquiries into active customers.
Research target markets and identify key decision-makers, including Logistics Managers, Procurement Managers, Supply Chain Directors, and Business Owners.
Prepare freight quotations and rate proposals in collaboration with operations and pricing teams.
Assist the sales team in preparing presentations, proposals, tender submissions, and customer reports.
Maintain daily activity reports including number of outbound calls, new leads generated, appointments secured, quotations submitted, opportunities created, and new accounts acquired.
About you
Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or related disciplines.
Minimum 1–3 years of sales, telemarketing, inside sales, customer service, or freight forwarding experience preferred.
Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or transportation industry is an advantage.
Strong cold-calling and prospecting skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Confident in speaking with senior-level decision-makers.
Goal-oriented with a hunter mentality and strong drive for new business acquisition.
Ability to handle objections and maintain persistence during prospecting activities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
