Role Overview: We are looking for a meticulous and driven Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity and complying with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
MAS Reporting: Prepare and submit Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, and Annual MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) regulatory reports.
GST Compliance: Prepare and submit GST filings in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Audit Management: Assist in the year-end audit, including the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documents, and liaising with external auditors.
Month-End Close: Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Schedules: Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss (P&L) schedules.
Sub-Ledgers: Maintain and update sub-ledger listings, including accruals, deposits, and prepayments.
Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries, payment vouchers, and receipt vouchers.
Core Operations: Perform day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records.
Bank Reconciliation: Execute daily, time-sensitive bank transaction uploads and ensure proper reconciliation.
Cash Monitoring: Maintain and provide daily updates of group bank balances.
Cash Book: Maintain and update the Cash Book, ensuring accurate recording of movements.
Invoice Processing: Manage full Accounts Payable functions, including verification and matching of invoices against Purchase Orders (POs).
Claims Management: Review and process staff claims and reimbursements.
Review: Review, monitor, and report on long-outstanding claims and balances.
Receivables: Maintain Accounts Receivable and Payment records, ensuring accurate aging and reconciliation.
Internal & External Liaison: Manage and respond to finance-related enquiries from vendors and staff.
External Partners: Liaise with vendors, clients, and appointed legal representatives on all finance and accounting matters.
Support ad-hoc finance duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Possession of a Degree in Accounting, ACCA, Finance, Banking, or an equivalent qualification.
Prior experience within the banking or Fintech sector is advantageous.
Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (expertise in Netsuite is preferred).
High level of integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
Proven capacity to work autonomously, manage workload effectively, and adhere to established deadlines.
Familiarity with local regulations and policies.
