[What the role is]
About Growth Enterprise Development (GED), Singapore Global Enterprises Office- The GED division in Enterprise Singapore is responsible for strategies and programmes to intensify the Government’s efforts in developing a strong core of Singapore Global Enterprises that will serve as a pillar of growth for the Singapore economy, thereby creating good job opportunities for Singaporeans.
- The division collaborates with EnterpriseSG’s business units to identify promising growth-stage enterprises and develops value creation strategies and initiatives to accelerate the growth of these companies.
- The Singapore Global Enterprises Office (SGEO) is part of GED and the overall policy office of the Singapore Global Enterprises initiative. This includes working with internal EnterpriseSG teams and external stakeholders to identify growth enterprises we can support under the SGE initiative. It also includes exploring new ways to support growth enterprises and developing customised tools, such as via grants, financing tools and customised programmes.
- We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, has the ability to understand and manage multiple stakeholders demands, strong business acumen and project management skills. The ideal candidate should demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
[What you will be working on]
Work closely with internal teams, such as Planning, Programmes & Policies teams and Industry Clusters, as well as external stakeholders including ministries, to finalise the performance indicators for the SGE initiative and oversee the reporting of outcomes.
Update the reporting framework and process for regular reporting internally and milestone reporting to ministries.
Work closely with Industry Clusters, Planning and other partners to identify new growth enterprises, including leveraging the annual cycle to review growth enterprises supported.
Collaborate with EnterpriseSG’s business units such as Planning, Programmes & Policies teams to support the design and implementation of new specialised capability building programmes.
Work closely with EnterpriseSG Comms and account managers to coordinate involvement of growth enterprises in key global events.
Develop or contribute to new policies or guidelines that enable EnterpriseSG to better support growth enterprises.
[What we are looking for]
2 to 5 years of public and private sector working experience, with a focus in project management and commercial roles (e.g. corporate strategy, partnerships, business development)
Strong team player, who is collaborative, resourceful, and able to multi-task.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, to build alignment across multiple parties (from internal senior decision-makers to external interagency counterparts), including managing differing views and objectives.
Strong organisational, written and communication skills, with proven ability to develop crisp presentation decks and documents and communicate effectively with senior decision makers.
A passion for public service and in championing the growth of local enterprises.
