Description
PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
This position leads revenue management strategy and execution for a hotel or group of hotels within a specified area. Position will ensure team provides compelling revenue management services to help hotels grow profitable market share and achieve goals. The Revenue Management role will ensure clear root cause is understood for underperforming hotels and then work collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure action plans are strategic, clearly address problems, and have accountability for execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives Business Results / Leadership & Managing Execution
Ensure effective delivery of revenue management core services through accurate forecasting, pricing, inventory control, and optimization of guest rooms and meeting spaces.
Drive forecast accuracy and maintain consistent selling strategies across CRS, PMS, IDeaS, and third-party distribution channels while ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and best-in-class pricing practices.
Monitor market demand, competitor pricing, pace, and production trends to identify revenue opportunities and adjust strategies proactively.
Ensure proper setup, utilization, and data accuracy of all revenue management systems, rate databases, reservations, and distribution channels through regular quality control checks.
Apply and monitor appropriate overbooking, pricing, and inventory strategies while preventing unprofitable discounting and ensuring best-in-class pricing practices.
Partner with Sales, Marketing, Digital, and hotel stakeholders to drive profitable demand generation activities, minimize revenue disruption, and support strategic business decisions.
Provide strategic analysis, revenue insights, and performance recommendations to hotel management, Regional Director of Revenue Management, and Director of Sales & Marketing.
Lead annual budgeting processes, business reviews, and revenue strategy discussions, while providing timely updates and recommendations to regional leadership and property stakeholders.
Anticipate market demand environment and lead efforts to develop strategies that deliver the most profitable mix of customers across Retail, Corporate, Discount, MICE and Catering segments
Take ownership of business performance by identifying root causes of underperformance, implementing corrective strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve results and minimize revenue disruption.
Brand Website Development
To involve in regional marketing programs and related products for online delivery such as:
o Regional Promotions/Packages
o Hotels’ Promotions
o Database Management/Marketing
To develop eMarketing strategies for assigned portfolio
To plan and implement e-commerce projects and micro-sites as online marketing platforms for purpose of communicating promotions and events, online booking, customer data collection and online branding
To implement and monitor online marketing programs effectively
To work with Global/Regional eCommerce Team to effectively plan and implement Search Engine Marketing/Optimization activities to improve ranking of APAC websites/microsites on search engine
OTA Partnerships Development
To manage Online Travel Agency accounts ensuring their compliance with M&C’s E- commerce strategy
Ensure accurate and consistent OTA content and hotel listings
Ensure hotel compliance with company internet distribution terms and conditions, including audit requirements
To produce channel performance reports monthly and regular SWOT analysis of costs, highlighting any threats and opportunities
To ensure assigned hotel is positioned on the first page of 50% of all TPI websites
To use up-to-date methods and appropriate procedures with regards to technologies and costs
To build and maintain effective working relationships with key clients
To ensure the OTA website adhere to the best rate
Team Development
To develop team members’ skills and performance through coaching and training
To ensure communications meetings are held within the reservations manager and their team
Assign clear accountability and provide both the authority and resources to ensure that individuals deliver desired contributions and results
To conduct performance reviews with team members as means of motivation and development
Any other duties or tasks to be assigned from time to time based on business needs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 8 years' experience in revenue management leadership roles.
Understanding of business culture is a benefit. Sensitive to diversity, with awareness about geographical, cultural, linguistic, legal, financial, and regulatory differences present in an international environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, or strategy.
Prior experience in the hospitality industry especially in sales and account management/ yield management/ distribution channel management would be advantageous
