Job Description


Mediacorp has the widest range of media platforms in Singapore spanning digital, television, radio, print and out-of-home media. Its mission is to engage, entertain and enrich audiences. For the Content Commerce unit, we create and capitalize shoppable moments from Mediacorp's suite of media platforms, generating shopping intent and driving conversion to wondershop.sg.


We are seeking a strategic professional skilled in negotiation, with a strong understanding of consumer behavior and e-commerce industry dynamics. As a Senior Manager of Merchandising, you will lead the development and execution of merchandising strategies that align with the business goals. This role involves overseeing product and business development through effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. You will also leverage on data to oversee category management and forecasting within the merchandising function, ensuring an optimal product mix.


Responsibilities



  • Lead the development of category management, product strategies, pricing, and promotions to maximize revenue and profitability.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, marketing, operation and commercial teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of merchandising initiatives and integrated campaigns.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions regarding inventory management, product placement, and customer segmentation.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze audience and ecommerce metrics to track performance, identify areas of improvement, and recommend actionable solutions.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through merchant acquisition, upselling media packages, and expanding category offerings.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving consumer behaviors to continuously innovate and enhance the ecommerce merchandising strategy.





Qualifications


  • Degree in related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in ecommerce merchandising/category management or related roles with a strong track record of driving product category success and revenue growth.

  • Candidates with experience managing categories such as Beauty & Personal Care, Home and Living, Kitchen & Dining, Health & Wellness, Consumer Electronics will be an advantage.

  • Experience in negotiations, product pricing and category management

  • Data fluency, proficiency with Excel

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
