As a Senior Software Engineer at MatchMove, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable, secure, and efficient payment transaction systems that power our industry-leading B2B BAAS solutions across Southeast Asia. You will work with a dynamic team of engineers to innovate on architecture, deliver high-impact software, and ensure the robustness and security of our payment infrastructure at scale.
In this role, you will:

Design & Development: Architect, design, and implement complex, scalable, and secure payment systems that support high availability and low latency. -
API Development: Build and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and secure APIs that serve both internal and external stakeholders. -
Infrastructure & Performance: Enhance the end-to-end payment infrastructure, ensuring a self-healing, resilient environment that meets stringent performance and security requirements. -
Technology Leadership: Lead key technology decisions, rationalizing architecture choices, and driving technical initiatives to improve system reliability and efficiency. -
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to align on goals, milestones, and product roadmaps. -
Quality & Deployment: Deliver high-quality code and documentation while maintaining strong testing, CI/CD, and automation practices to ensure seamless deployments. -
Localization & Compliance: Ensure that payment systems adhere to regional regulatory requirements, addressing localization needs for different markets across Southeast Asia. -
Ownership & Delivery: Maintain a high level of ownership over engineering deliverables, ensuring predictable execution and alignment with business priorities.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Go, with a proven track record of building and maintaining robust backend systems.
- Experience with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience in API design and management, ensuring efficient and secure integrations.
- Deep understanding of cloud-based deployments, with experience in operating and scaling applications in production environments.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Strong grasp of secure coding practices and data protection, especially in payment systems and financial transactions.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) for automation and tooling.
- Understanding of enterprise software design patterns and best practices in building resilient, maintainable systems.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a public GitHub portfolio showcasing technical expertise.
