SEO/GEO Lead (Digital Marketing)
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced SEO/GEO Lead to lead a SEO team while driving both traditional SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies. You'll play a key role in managing client campaigns, mentoring a team of SEO specialists, and helping brands improve their visibility across search engines and AI-powered platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude, and Grok.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SEO Specialists.
Set team goals, monitor KPIs, and conduct performance reviews.
Oversee onboarding, coaching, and continuous learning for team members.
Ensure timely delivery and quality of SEO/GEO campaigns.
SEO & GEO Strategy
Develop and execute comprehensive on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies.
Conduct website audits and recommend actionable improvements.
Manage backlink acquisition and maintain backlink quality.
Develop optimization strategies for AI-powered search platforms and Generative AI.
Create citation-worthy content strategies to improve visibility in AI-generated responses.
Stay up to date with search engine algorithm changes and AI model developments.
Client Management
Work closely with clients to understand business objectives and recommend effective SEO/GEO strategies.
Participate in client meetings, presentations, and pitches.
Collaborate with internal sales, account servicing, and creative teams to ensure campaign success.
Performance & Reporting
Track campaign performance using SEO and analytics tools.
Prepare monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
Monitor team performance and provide regular updates to management.
Process Improvement
Improve SEO/GEO workflows and best practices.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and integrate new tools.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of SEO experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong expertise in on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
Experience conducting SEO audits and managing backlink strategies.
Working knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI-powered search platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Claude, and Grok.
Experience managing multiple client accounts and working with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar SEO tools.
Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
