Being a Product Specialist in Regional Bancassurance, you will be pivotal in positioning DBS as the leading Bancassurance distributor in the region.

Responsibilities\:

Product Strategy

• Take a lead role in the annual product planning to create product strategies and roadmaps with respective markets that support growth ambition. Influence partners on product design to be more bancassurance friendly.


• Advise/optimize Market’s product shelves with data, build pricing models to ensure products are competitive in pricing and compensation for customers and bank.


• Leveraging industry network, provide insights on competitive market, product and distribution


• Use data-driven operating model (DDOM) to prepare product analysis on product mix, profitability for Regional Banca partners’ meeting

Product Management

• Oversee the end to end product development process from ideation to launch.


• Review product submission and ensure products, processes and its collaterals are in compliance with DBS guidelines.


• Develop robust processes and standards on Product governance


• Design and implement Best Practice Product Development approaches across the region

Partnership Management

• Implement robust project management processes across the region to ensure partners are delivering on their commitments


• Liaise with insurance providers for products and competitiveness


• Prepare monthly product updates & challenges escalation to senior stakeholders.


• Work with Reinsurers directly to negotiate product UW and design when necessary

Special Projects

• Regionally driven Product Solutions


• Product deep dives


• Innovation workshops – embedding innovation into product outcomes


• Banca Product Academy – train product teams in Markets

Requirements\: 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum of 8 years' experience in Insurance and/or experience in Insurance product manufacturing, pricing, product profitability, competitive analysis. Actuarial background will be highly valued


• Strong industry knowledge and excellent bancassurance network;


• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements in the financial services industry


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively present and influence at all levels of the organization


• Excellent project management skills


• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
