The ICC Academy, launched in 2015, is the educational arm of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), supports ICC’s mission by providing a wide range of specialised certification programmes, short-online courses and customisable workshops for professionals and businesses operating internationally. We have trained thousands of professionals in more than 100 countries and our qualifications are recognised and accredited globally.
The role
The Technology Lead oversees projects in ICC Academy’s technology portfolio, developing a thorough understanding of business processes, rules, data flows, and system impacts. Reporting to the Technology Director, they work with key systems, services, and data to enhance the Learning Management System, e-Commerce, Student Information System, and exam proctoring platforms.
Responsibilities
Engage in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Design, Development, Integration, Testing, Deployment, Maintenance, and Customer Support for intricate systems.
Serve as a single point of contact for users regarding all technical queries, analyse issues, develop a trouble shooting policy and research/implement resolutions.
Manage Cloud Infrastructure and Services such as Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare.
Manage the integrations with related platforms (LMS, e-Commerce, proctoring, certification etc.,)
Embrace an "Automation first" mindset, aiming to minimize manual tasks, improve processes and optimize the operations of support team.
Providing application administrative support across applications as needed.
Proactively monitor the payments to provide support on the eCommerce platform and the payment gateways.
Research, identify, design, and implement new technology solutions to support Academy’s ambitions and future requirements.
Ensure proper documentation, notification, escalation, tracking, and follow up of incidents/requests are conducted in a timely manner.
Requirements
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development, implementation, and support. Experience in data analysis and visualization is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of SQL Databases (MySQL & MS SQL), PHP, MVC/Web services, REST API, Bootstrap, and frameworks like Node.js.
Hands-on and highly motivated with a desire to continually enhance technical skills.
Familiarity with data analytics solutions, Microsoft technologies, and Business Intelligence is an advantage. Experience in Agile Scrum methodology.
Excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to deadlines.
A team player with great interpersonal skills who is innovative and results-oriented.
An organized self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
