Job Description: We are seeking an experienced FCC Advisory professional to join the Global Payments Financial Crimes Compliance (FCC) team in support of our fintech operations tailored to support our dynamic TikTok Ads platform environment. As the dedicated FCC advisor for TikTok Ads, you will be the primary compliance liaison advising TikTok Ads product, compliance product, operations, and engineering teams on anti-money laundering risks and regulatory obligations. You will be responsible for proactively identifying risks associated with new and existing products or services, enhancing the TikTok Ads control framework by designing effective controls, and embedding financial crimes compliance into the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main FCC point of contact for the TikTok Ads line of business, advising on AML/CFT risks for the various advertising products and customer lifecycle.
- Provide subject matter expertise on AML regulatory requirements, risk typologies, and emerging threats in the context of the creator economy, digital payments, and social commerce.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to evaluate new features and product changes, ensuring AML risk is adequately assessed and controlled from ideation through launch.
- Lead or contribute to AML risk assessments for new products, jurisdictions, and customer types (e.g., creators, influencers).
- Oversee the maintenance of scalable, technology-driven AML controls tailored to a platform environment, including transaction monitoring, customer onboarding, and suspicious activity detection.
- Coordinate with FCC, compliance product, compliance technology and legal teams to deliver holistic risk advisory to the business.
- Support the development and refinement of AML policies, standards, and procedures applicable to digital products and users.
- Participate in internal governance forums and provide compliance input on risk acceptances, control enhancements, and third-party partnerships.
- Support audits, regulatory exams, and due diligence efforts by preparing documentation, risk rationales, and control evidence as needed.
- Stay informed on global AML regulatory developments and fintech enforcement trends, interpreting and advising on their relevance to business strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in AML compliance or financial crimes advisory, ideally in a fintech, payments, or platform-based technology company.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AML frameworks (BSA/AML, FATF, FinCEN), particularly as applied to non-traditional financial services (e.g., digital assets, peer-to-peer payments).
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to clearly translate regulatory concepts into practical guidance.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize effectively in a risk-based and iterative compliance environment.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments and cross-functional settings with product, engineering, and design teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CAMS, CFCS, CRCM).
- Experience advising on AML risks related to advertising in digital platform environments, user-generated content, creator economies, or e-commerce ecosystems.
